History

The city experienced quite a great development in 973 B.C. The 14th century was the period of major changes for the city. There has been a hub for commercial transport and had a great economic progress. Some of the most famous sights like the Charles Bridge and the Cathedral of St. Vitus, were built in that period. With the end of World war I, it became part of a united Czechoslovakia until 1989 and the Velvet Revolution, which was a milestone in the modern history of the city.
